Business French training: Key for successful integration of foreign nationals at work and in French culture

french training for companies

Over 25 years, LUTECE LANGUE has provided business French training for companies in Paris, both onsite and online, in our school (Paris 7th) and on the company’s premises. Our school is a certified language training centre holding QUALIOPI Certification, committed to delivering quality French training. Most importantly, the quality of our teaching is assured by selecting highly skilled, qualified FLE teachers and adopting a personalised approach in a small class setting (max. 8).

Each student is unique and has a different French studies background, needs, difficulties, and objectives. With this in mind, our school staff thrives to find and propose the program most adapted to each student among a large pallet of general and specialised French courses available. To be sure of providing personalised teaching, the process described below the page is followed. Our French courses are eligible for the following professional training:

  • Corporate professional training “PLAN”
  • Professional training funded by OPCO
  • CPF Training

GENERAL French is the base of all communication in French, whether in French training for companies or personal situations. Combining GENERAL French courses and Options such as WORKSHOPS, PRIVATE, and SPECIALISED French lesson helps to reinforce a specific competence. In our GENERAL French courses in mini-groups, we work on 4 linguistic competencies focusing on “speaking” skill. Process of our Personalised Teaching – Our engagement for QUALITY

1. Initial contact

First of all, the school staff contacts the company’s DRH or the prospective student (the prospect) to obtain relevant information, for example the prospect’s estimated French level, needs in French at work, objective, availabilities for the training, etc.

2. Audit – French language skills assessment

FRENCH PROFICIENCY TESTS: First, the prospect takes a writing test (at school, by email) and an oral level test with our headteacher (at school, over the phone). Throughout the tests, the 4 linguistic competencies are analysed:

  • Oral production
  • Oral comprehension
  • Written production
  • Written comprehension

At the end of the audit, the headteacher determines the levels of the prospect’s 4 competencies based on the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

INTERVIEW WITH THE HEADTEACHER: Next, during the interview, the headteacher analyses the prospect’s objective of French training and the problems and needs in French at work / in daily life. Then, the headteacher proposes the program most adapted to their profile.

PRELIMINARY QUESTIONNAIRE: In addition to initial tests, the prospect is requested to submit a questionnaire in which they detail the information, for example duration of French study, self-estimated French levels (4 competencies), needs in French at work/in daily life, problems related to French communication, the objective of training, requests for french training for companies

3. Proposition

After that, with all the information collected during the audit, our headteacher proposes the most adapted french training for companies to the DRH / the prospect and send a proposition (quote and program).

4. french training for companies & On-going evaluation

The teacher encourages the student to participate actively in class, which is indispensable to improving speaking skills. Thus, the teacher can monitor the student’s oral production and comprehension levels on an ongoing basis. A mini test is given at the end of the week to check grammar and writing levels. So, when the student progresses faster than the other classmates or has difficulty following lessons, we might change their group to encourage further progress at an upper level or facilitate reinforcing weak points at a lower level.

Thanks to a small class setting, the teacher can pay personal attention to each student and talk whenever students have a problem in class. Similarly, the headteacher is committed to ensuring the best placement of each student and the tight coordination of the teaching staff.

5. Final evaluation

We assess the student’s achievements and advise further French study. In addition, in the questionnaire given at the end of the training, the student evaluates the effectiveness of their French training and the quality of our teaching and services.
